Philosopher's Stone Ventures assists TiE Southern California
with the Mentor Program
September 4, 2001, Redondo Beach and Irvine, CA -- Philosopher's
Stone today announced that they will be assisting TiE Southern
California in running their mentoring program.
TiE Southern California is a non-profit organization promoting
entrepreneurship and mentoring to the, but not limited,
Indus community. It is a volunteer run organization by professionals
in the high technology industry and business community with
the explicit goal to benefit entrepreneurs. With the increased
competition today, entrepreneurship has become increasingly
more critical for survival, even for the larger corporations.
TiE has developed the mentoring program to help entrepreneurs
succeed through the guidance and support of established
professionals.
Philosopher's Stone Ventures is assisting TiE Southern
California in putting together, maintaining and matching
entrepreneurs with mentors. The mentors have a senior level
of expertise and come from the following industries, including,
the venture industry, law, business strategy, management,
marketing, sales or technology. TiE's goals are to foster
and nurture their members towards successful entrepreneurship.
S. Ramesh, a member of TiE Southern California and the
President of Philosopher's Stone Ventures says, "I
