Nick E. Yocca
Nick is the President of Stradling Yocca Carlson &
Rauth and co-founded in 1975. He has over 40 years of legal
expertise in the field of corporate and securities law matters;
and has extensive experience in public financings, mergers
and acquisitions, licensing and cooperative arrangements,
as well as in general corporate representation and organization.
Nick has built an extremely successful law firm that is
Orange County's best. The client's companies range from
emerging growth businesses to Fortune 500. They represent
a broad range of industries, including computer hardware
and software, wireless communications, semiconductors, biomedical
products and services, offshore construction and all financial
services.
Prior to his position as President of the law firm, Nick
held the position as Vice President and General Counsel
of Oceaneering International in 1975 to 1980. Before that,
he was also the Chairman of Corporate Department of Rutan
& Tucker. He worked as an Associate for O'Melveny &
Myers prior to that, and was an Instructor of Law for Michigan
Law School. He received the Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation
League in 1998.
Nick is actively involved in the business and legal community,
including the The Tech Coast Angels, The Tech Coast Alliance,
The Forum of Corporate Directors, The Southern California
Technology Executives Network, and The Association for Corporate
Growth. He the director of the Orange County Business Council
and served as Orange County's Representative for the National
Legal Community.
Nick received his Bachelors degree from the University
of Pittsburgh and obtained his J.D. from the University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a distinction in the Order of
the Coif and Michigan Law Review. He is a member of the
Los Angeles County Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association,
State Bar of California, the American Judicature Society
and the American Bar Association.
