Philosopher's Stone Ventures President at the NBIA
International Business Incubation Conference
May 1, 2002, Redondo Beach, CA - The conference was a success
for Philosopher's Stone Venture's President, S. Ramesh who
was invited to speak at NBIA's 16th International Conference
on Business Incubation. Mr. Ramesh lead the session today,
Wednesday, May 1, 2002, with Chris Raman of GorillaPark
discussing methodologies for the success of For Profit Incubators
in the current economic downturn.
This year's conference was entitled "Explore Your
World, Enrich Your Community" and was held from Saturday,
April 27, 2002 through to Wednesday, May 1, 2002 in Toronto
Canada at the prestigious Royal York Hotel located in downtown
Toronto. This year's conference included a significant number
of international attendees; nearly 32 percent were from
outside the United States.
Members of the incubator industry attended the NBIA conference.
The distinguished members included Robert Birgeneau, President
of the University of Toronto; Dr. Masao Horiba, Director
General of Japan Association of Business Incubation Organizations;
Jana Matthews, President/CEO of Boulder Quantum Ventures
and Linda Kotzot, Managing Director of Pacific Incubation
Network..
Philosopher's Stone Ventures is a technology incubator
founded in 1999 by President S. Ramesh and CFO Jenny Sakhrani,
both are Canadian citizens. The incubator specializes in
technologies in the Wireless Software, Distributed Enterprises,
Bio-Informatics, and Enterprise Medical Software Industry.
Philosopher's Stone Ventures has two divisions, RippleImpact,
specializing in software development, and Razorwire Security,
the computer and Internet Security division.
