Jenny M. Sakhrani
Jenny is the President of Philosopher's Stone Ventures,
LLC, a Los Angeles area technology incubator. She has more
than 15 years of experience in finance, valuations, business
strategy, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. She
is also an active investor in early stage technology companies
and is currently a board member of four technology companies.
Prior to Philosopher's Stone Ventures, Jenny served as
the CFO and controller of MatchCraft.com, a real-time media-trading
platform that facilitates the purchase and sale of online
media in an automated, Web-based environment. Before joining
MatchCraft, she spent many years as an independent management
consultant in Europe and the US, providing financial, operational,
and business strategy advice for technology companies. Prior
to that, Jenny worked as valuations specialist in the mergers
and acquisitions department of Soberman, Isenbaum, and Colomby,
one of Canada's largest accounting firms. Before Soberman,
Isenbaum, and Colomby, Jenny was the assistant treasurer
for SANYO, Canada, a subsidiary of Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.,
a $17 billion manufacturer and distributor of consumer and
commercial electronics and electric products.
Jenny is very active in the entrepreneur and venture community
of southern California and has written articles on early
stage investment and other topics. She is the membership chair of the Orange County
Chapter of the Tech Coast Angels (TCA), the largest organization
of private equity investors in the United States. She is active on the
Board of Directors of the Orange Coast Venture Group (OCVG),
Tech Coast Venture Network (TCVN) and California Venture
Forum (CVF) and is a member of the
Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Hong Kong Association of Southern California, and the Organisation of Chinese Entreprenuer Advisory Network (OCEAN). Jenny is a Business Advisor to
Southern California Community Venture Fund. She is a frequent
panelist on venture panels and judge of business plans at
venture conferences. Jenny is also active in the University
community where she has given talks and mentored MBA students
in entrepreneurial studies and judged business plan competitions.
