Tech Coast Angels at the 17th Annual Entrepreneurs Conference
May 14, 2001, Irvine, CA - S. Ramesh, President and Chief
Software Architect of Philosopher's Stone Ventures represented
the Tech Coast Angels at the Harvard Business School's 2001
Entrepreneurs Conference. Ramesh participated in an angel
investment panel that evaluated business plans and "elevator
pitches" presented by entrepreneurs.
"The forum created by the Harvard Business School
is excellent for entrepreneurs in Southern California to
get exposure," noted Ramesh. "Furthermore, for
the Tech Coast Angels to be associated with the Harvard
Business School is great way to get our name out among entrepreneurs
who might need our help. Philosopher's Stone Ventures and
the Tech Coast Angels are always looking for viable business
plans, and this is a great way to meet the people who are
ready with ideas."
The evening event with the Tech Coast Angels consisted
of networking amongst Angels, entrepreneurs and other attendees.
The Tech Coast Angels have over 200 members and provide
$250K to $1 million in funding to early-stage ventures in
Southern California. The distinguished panel moderated by
Luis Vilalobos, founder of Tech Coast Angels, included Fred
Selby, President of Tech Coast Angels Orange County, Richard
Koffler of Koffler Ventures, Richard Shuttleworth, Senior
Vice President of Silicon Valley Bank, as well as Philosopher's
