Charity Equipment
CharityEquipment.com is an outlet for used computer and
networking equipment. The funds generated from the sales
are used to fund projects and programs for Extreme Dream.
Extreme Dream
Extreme Dream is an non-profit organization (501(3)(C))
focused on keeping kids off drugs and out of gangs. Extreme
Dream provides mentoring for the kids that particpate in
Extreme Dream programs.
Philosopher's Stone Ventures' Internship Program
We help college students, whether completing their undergraduate
studies or advanced courses, develop their skills in the
business and technical arena. Philosopher's Stone Ventures
often mentors and welcomes students into the Internship
program from various colleges around Southern California
and beyond. We believe that real-life experiences during
your college education is mandatory to a successful career.
The students that intern with us are often considered for
permanent hire.
Philosopher's Stone Ventures Mentoring Program
We believe, to succeed in the real world, guidance is essential.
As a student, it is often difficult to get the exposure
in their field of study. Philosopher's Stone Ventures has
a very exciting mentoring program for students that will
help them get in contact with a professional in their field
of study with the expertise to guide them. Students from
all fields of study are welcomed, in particular, the areas
of computer technology and business.
Southern California Community Ventures
We believe in contributing to the community. Working together
with Southern California
Community Ventures, we strive to combine the business
discipline of the venture capital industry, our technical
expertise and the social mission of the community development
field to create quality jobs and sustainable businesses
in under-served communities. Philosopher's Stone Ventures
is assisting SCCV by providing technical and business experience
in a manner that will result in significant social benefits
to businesses and community stakeholders.
TiE Organization
TiE is
a worldwide networking and mentoring organization where
members are high profile entrepreneurs, corporate executives
and senior professionals with interest in, but not limited
to the Indus Region. Philosopher's Stone Ventures works
with TiE Southern California and San Diego in conducting
a pre-screening evaluation of business plans and coordinates
the mentoring program with entrepreneurs.
Ventureplex
Ventureplex is a comprehensive, specialized resource provider
for start-up enterprises and their entrepreneur founders.
They provide the capital resources and business infrastructures
necessary to help emerging companies grow and become successful.
Thus allowing the emerging companies to focus on strategic
priorities, such as product development and launch; activities
that will result in accelerated time-to-market. Philosopher's
Stone Ventures will be assisting Ventureplex and their clients
as a virtual incubator.
Uddami
Uddami is a non-profit project based in Kolkatta, India
and is dedicated providing computer access and training
to disadvantaged youth, boys and girls. Uddami means ascending,
energetic or achieving full potential and is staffed by
Alison Saracena, a teacher and painter, and Bryan Forst,
a member of Philosopher's Stone Ventures' technical team.
